Has it been a year already??!!

You know that there is something wrong when there is traffic jam just off Chinatown at 6pm on a Friday night. Traffic has always been "moving" and not a stand still every late night shopping Friday. BUT that day was just ridiculous; should have walked. Parking luck was on my side that day, after 1 round around the roads, I found a park... wheeeeeeee.......

That more or less explains the jam. They've closed down a few roads for the classic car show. In my mind: who was that @$#!#%# who chose to eat in Chinatown today!!!
On the bright side, I saw a few nice wheels.... rows of Ferrari and Benz...

It is a little annoying when every one just stood there blocking my camera view.... these are the best pics I could take without any strangers head blocking half the car.

Speaking of blogging; suddenly there are so many "famous" blogger that arise from Malaysia, Singapore & Taiwan... It's rises so fast that it's so hard to catch up... was thinking that I'll link them, but this means I have to delete/ change if they decide to stop blogging or change from one site to another; eg blogspot/wordpress/xanga/com ... too much work... just let me know if you're bored and I'll sent some site to you.

Since they've became "famous"... it's natural reaction to read their blog and see what the fuss was about... sometimes the blogs are too -.-||| for me to say anything... it's their blog, they can write/post/ do whatever they want with it... but a whole blog/site of camwhoring shots of themselves from one party to another, from toilets mirror to another = make them famous??!! well, I have to say that some girl bloggers are really pretty...
BUT
There are 2 incidents which left me speechless/ voiceless...
1. blog-hop/stumble into a long-lost friend's blog. She is one of those girls stated above....
2. muscles and cutesy look don't go together... A body builder acting cute is -.-|||.

A few "Hate" blogs have arise as well... it makes me wonder for a moment... Those bloggers must be quite free to dig out all the dirt/ dirty laundry of someone else and blog about it and has a certain level of hatred as well. I'm not complaining, cus I'm one of those busybody that reads these news/updates. Some "hate" / "reality check" blogs can be quite ruthless and hurtful which makes me wonder; sympathetic or serve him/her right? It is quite scary that IF someone starts a new hate blog about me, and every post that I write becomes a new entry of criticism in the hate blog... THE HORROR!!!!

Well, it's good to be not so famous =) heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Just another dinner, nothing to wow about.... but the cutlery are cute and unique. On weekends, there are belly dancers to entertain you... hehehe...


Moroccan Mint tea = very strong and sweet..... taste rich and alot better than commercial peppermint tea.

I live in a soap-opera life myself.... so many things happening around me, makes me feel like I'm lost in a TV series myself... (so many stories to tell, but telling means pin-pointing; so I rather stick to abstract... muahaha)

For those who know me; I prefer watching any sort of series except gory ones and annoying ones... Yeh, I can't stand the torturing and slashing of humans or animals type of movies or series and I can't stand the type that cause my blood to boil/ high blood pressure (watch "Heart of Greed; 溏心風暴" and you know what I mean)

I rather stick to:
1. the act cute ones, with lots of pretty actors and actress that are in their late 20s and still acting as teenagers... I may roll my eyes at some scenes, but at least I can tolerate and sit through the show =P

2. the crying every 20 minutes... I may laugh at the fake tears and I may cry with them at the really sad scenes... rather have bulging puffy eyes and red nose after the series than sitting in front of the TV fuming and still angry by the time I go to bed... =P

3. the ghost/haunted ones are cool as well... There are the silly/ funny ghost shows which i guess are classified as comedy ... The supernatural/ unexplainable phenomenon ones do struck my curiosity button, define under "interesting" ....

The cutest TV classification I've seen is "Stylist Violence" .... I soooo heart this movie/series..... Why settle for brutal bashing when you can bash people in style?? Which will you pick; Rambo vs Naked Weapon?? even the title makes you lean to one side (esp for the guys)... Just in case you don't know the actors/actress from the movie; Rambo = Sylvester Stallone vs Naked Weapon = Maggie Q... BUT then again if the choice is Universal Solders = Jean Claude Van Damme and So Close = Shu Qi.... I think I rather watch Universal Solders.. hehehe... Of course this is a bit bias caucasian guys vs asian girls... but these are the titles currently popping out of my head ... Given a choice: I can emerge both gender into one movie = Mr & MRS Smith!!!!! YUMMY!!!

A few of my frens are concerned about me; now that pigeon is not around... Thank you Thank you for your thoughts..... How should I answer?? What do I say?? ... I've turned anti-social and love hiding in bed, just give me laptop + internet + my anime.... tralalala.... If you ask me this week... I can tell you that I'm watching anime title "Strawberry Panic". It's about 3 catholic girl schools that shares the same dorm; a very big boarding school(s) and lots of girl on girl action and lesbians emotions...... To top off everything, mid this week, my gay housemate tried to dry hump/ spoon my straight housemate in front of me.... (And some of you asked how I am doing??)..... Don't worry, I am still sane .....

PS: there is still a duvet between the guys, don't worry nothing that obscene happened... Straight one was trying to sleep and the gay one is the alarm clock.... hahaha what a way to wake up from your nap.. =P hahahaha

My birthday dinner at Bar & Grill

If you want a good hearty and comfort meal without overeating and walking out with your tummy bulging out; This is the place to go..

Place: 176 Bar & Grill
Time: 7:30pm, 10th Sept (had to celebrate earlier because E is having his wisdom teeth extracted a few day before my actual birthday, he he won't he able to chew properly)

The side dishes we had: Salad, Fries & cooked greens
*note: I didn't order the salad, too much onions = bad breathe and lots of gas ... hahaha
The sides are quite yummy; rockets, pears and cheese + onions do make a nice refreshing salad. The fries are the type that I like, slim, crispy and salty enough. The cooked greens (roasted/steamed/pan fried??) are fresh and crispy as well.

All three of us ordered from their 176 Specialty Steak menu; I had the 176 Mignon (1st pic), but I can't remember what E and K had. Might be a porterhouse and rib/chop... hahaha
There is always a decision to have your steak cooked medium rare, medium or well done. For this place, medium rare would be a better choice. BUT if you are similar to E, who don't like the sight of blood, medium/medium well for the steak. The more thoroughly cooked the meat is, the tougher and less juicy it's gonna be.

Dessert wasn't eye catching enough, then again maybe cus I am a selective dessert eater =P

ooooo Before I end this entry, please remember that the traffic light next to this restaurant has speeding cameras on all sides. It was like having a huge rave party where lights are flashing at that junction on this rainy night.. It is $200 per click for speeding over 10km/hr, so please remember Peacock Road is 50km/hr only, not 60km/hr like the normal roads outside city.

I like the setting of this place, very sweet. A nice place for some peace and quiet dinner.

I don't know how to describe the meals and I can't remember what was what. There are alot of flavoursome sauces and foam. The little portions of dishes don't leave a big impact in my memories =P but the decorations are cute, especially the last few dishes (round little balls). The pictures consist of 2 sets of degustation; set of 6 and set of 8 + complimentary dishes. I cant remember which is the 6 or 8, so I'll just combine them together... hehehe










































































They update their menu pretty frequently (every season I think), you can check for the latest online. I'm slightly disappointed because it's a french restaurant and there are no escargots... sigh...
