Interesting News

Right, this piece of news has been kept from all of you for quite some time. hahaha.... I can stop laughing everytime I thought about it. I went for a movie audition in December 2005. okie let me start from the begining.

This "job" was found in AUU emploment database (from Adelaide Uni website). The Angela Heesom Casting C/-SA Film Corporation was looking for some movie casts. The cast that I fit into was "Young Sue- 19-27 years old Chinese woman. Must speak Mandarin. No previous acting experience required." I emailed them that I was interested in the role. They sent back an email asking for my self photograph. The a week later, they asked me to go in for camera shoot. It was funny and shocking at that time. But truth to be told, it wasn't as "glamarous" as i thought it would be. I went and had a mug shot; yup the type of picture taken by policeman. Literally a front view and a side view shot and at the bottom, a piece of paper with my name on it. they asked acouple of questions like my age, language that I spoke.. etc.. hahaha and it all finished in 5 minutes. It Christmas now, and I havn't heard from them for quite some time. So I'm not even sure if I got the part. sigh... It was fun while it lasted though......

A bit about the movie: The film title is The Home Song Stories.
It starring Joan Chen. The story is about Sue, a glamorous Shanghai nightclub singer, and her struggle to survive in Australai with her two young children. Based on a true story, this is an epic tale of mothers and sons, mothers and daughters, unrequited love and hidden secrets that span continents and decades. The film is written and directed by Chinese Auastralain director, Tony Ayres.

hahah So if you see this movie next time, and you see that I'm not acting in it. It means I didn't made the part (deep sigh... hahaha so close to becoming a big movie star) (*Feels like Joey from friends.....*)

Seriously, deep down inside, I know I won't be choosen cus I don't look like Joan Chen at all. How am I suppose to act as the younger version of her??? hmmmm....but it's the fun of the process that makes life memorable....... winks~*

Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire

Okie I have to admit that i'm so lacking behind the history of my life. So before interesting news that I'm about to tell, a brief update on myself.

Yes I've graduated on the 22 December 2005, Thursday. I'm officially a Food Technologist, who is also a Quality Manager. I am considered a jobless person, as I've yet to look for a food company to work in; but mind you I'm currently working in Uni Lab, doing experiments.
(Pictures of the graduation will be uploaded soon. As soon as I resize and scan some of them.

Blogging (Green with envy?)

(Names of friends, M, N, O, P.....)
A recent "discussion" with my friends on blogs. M says that it's a place for bragging; N says that it's a place to update and share with friends; O says that it's a place to complain.... What do you think?

I agree with all bits and pieces. Currently, I've a friend,S, who is going to marry soon. Her blog consist of her knowledge on rings, wedding gown, flowers etc.... She tells people about the $$ she spend etc... Well, true she's telling the whole world that she spend alot of money, but then, if you're a close friend, she would have told you or you would have asked her about it... I guess there is a fine line between sharing and bragging. A note to the readers *If you don't like what you read, then close the window and don't read*... no point of you reading people's blog and complain that that person is bragging about her life... Good for you *S*, Congratulations and have a memorable wedding!

There is another blog that i came across; people complementing and complaining about their relationship. yes it's true, relationship can be sweet as can be, sour with slight bitter after taste... it's understandable... I would say, sometimes telling another about your heartache, relieves you emotionally. I would agree on the part where you tell your friends about your problem. But if you have a blog that connects you to everyone (friends and strangers; eg. Friendster blog)... hmmm it makes you wonder.....

there are a couple of blogs which are really really funny, i accidentally came a cross a blog (I have no idea who it was)... it consist of self tests.. hahaha, it's those where you answer a series of questions and they'll tell you your personality.. etc... the fella keeps his blog updated with these self tests that he come across... hahah very very funny.... (if i can remember the blog, i'll post it up for you to have a read!)

Well a pre-warning to you readers... next month I'll be bragging and sharing about my graduation day! you'll just have to put up with it!! muahaha

WOoHOo

Exam has finished, Thesis has already been handed up for marking. Now have a 2 weeks break before a major presentation. Time to do some shopping, catch up with friends, which I have deserted for a month. Try to sort out my ex-textbooks!....
What a joy it is!! =)

Huge Sigh......

Right, there is an appropriate time for panicking in your life; and it's currenty happening in my life. Most of it, I blame myself. I should be doing work, but got so caught up in the korean series (Da Chang Jing) that there is not enough time for any of my assignments. It's not one of those short 20 episodes, this has 70 episodes, and took me 2 (night time) weeks to finish watchin. and the consequence is overdue thesis and early morning rushing assignments syndrome. =P okie me back to work!
tata for now

back to boring life

Yup, My birthday was a week ago, and till now I havn't exactly did what I wanted to, and present from home has not arrived yet, sigh..... Oh and after all this, i'm back to uni, doing my honours project.... Yawn... well, if I wanna graduate, I'll have to do it!....

So HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY OLD CHAP!

Impression Night

Sigh, most of my frens didn't turn up for this event... makes you wonder why> It's such a good chance of taking pictures of all your frens dressed up nicely, etc....

Well, here is my dress for the night! and i'm proud to say, I bought this for myself, with me own money ($Aus 250 plus minus). This is the first time I saw an dress and "had to" have it. No regrets buying it, and it better fit my after 5-10 years... and this is the only full length picture i have on myself... the other gal is my housemate (the taller one)... hahah we both enjoyed ourselves I guess... haha....

The night went on pretty smooth, except the dumb DJ never played my requested song... What is wrong with these people and techno or trance??!!My guess is they don't like it, cus they dunno how to dance along with it. They kept playing hiphop on and on and on....

As for the food, like everyone says, the portion is small, but not too bad of a taste. of course there is a free flow of alcohol till 10pm. and i DID NOT get DRUNK! for those of you who are reading this... hahaha...

retry of pictures

Still trying to load pictures, but just can't get the hang of it....

Here are some pictures of me working on my chocolate sauce development. Of course my lovely partner, Sarah, we came up with a shelf stable chocolate sauce. the sauce is meant to be eaten with ice-cream.. etc what ever you like. ther are two flavours, orange (which tasted like Jaffar's) and Chilli, gives it a spicy kick! well, the product had a good sales, gone in one week (80 bottles)... hmmm... not bad for starters...

Too Long!

Yes, it's been too long since I've updated myself. I do apologise to myself. There should be every funny, sad, memorable moment that should be written down from time to time. A couple of birthdays had passed, seems like everyone is getting old yearly. Well, mine is coming up soon! I wonder how would it be like?.... people always ask me, long time no see, how've you been?.. the answer is "same old ,same old".... of course there are a number of my friends who are married and have kids already... i guess the sudden discovery of friends married and have kids is no longer a shocking issue since college.. yup, i had a fren who was 17 then, married a 28 year old french guy... (hmmm)... and a fren who was already married (19 years old) with a (1 year old) son... then another got engage to a internet guy, went to USA to meet him and got married with another guy (What The??)..... yes life bits and pieces of interesting teaching values.....

I have recently read a blog from my best friend; here is a theory to think about:
you spend most of your relationship life thinking if the guy you went out with is Mr Right... but if you discovered you got pregnant, all you need is two minutes to know he is the one....
However funny it sounds, it's quite true for some people. of course there is a choice of getting abortion, or not get married....it does make you wonder....

Kareoke

I love kareoke, there are so many types overhere.... if you wanna eat lunch and sing (there is a place where you can go), if you prefer just singing in your own private room (there is also such places)... and of course the public ones (haven't seen any yet)...... now all i need is to find people to go with..... yes, it's a bit of a trouble to search of people to join you in anything especially if you go onto a trip alone.... i guess i'm sort of a by myself person (i think, did I hear a giggle somewhere?)... anyway, i like walking around by myself in sydney... so nice and in my no time, no hectic sheduale to follow, sleep when i want.... so relax (and that's what holiday is all about)... the only problem is that you have to keep asking peopl to take photo for you.... and you'll be the only one laughing at funny signs and sights.... other than that, i love it here... i wouldn't mind studying here (but the living cost is $$$$$$$$).... price of food is okie, reasonable ranges from $5 -$10 in Chinatown)... it's the accomadation and transport which are $$$.... hmm....
