Enjoy the business class treatment in MAS

I flew back to Adelaide from Malaysia (March) in Business Class.

Ahhhh VIP treatment.... First lets start off with champagne, bubbling drink to make you all fuzzy and relax before the take off. Then the scented towel to freshen yourself with and, not to forget, to wipe the table, the arm-rest and personal screen.

Personal chair, with a personal light and a remote control that controls the chair as well as massaging the back.

Me, myself and I, literary!! I am alone in the business class and I had the opportunity to go first class, but there was too many people. I liked the solitude and the free usage of my camera.. teeheehee..

Ah refreshments = sateh with wine and peanuts.... Followed by appetiser and not to forget the mains.... Very nice food!!!.. =) slurppp.... Lastly is dessert = cheesecake...Not a big fan of cheesecake, but this one actually taste really good!

Want a cuppa?? Teh-Tarik nightcap while you slip into dreamland. I just watched movie.. =)

As for breakfast, A full glass of yoghurt! not the tiny plastic one serving size yoghurt (econ class). Look at the spread of healthy eating!!I'd say that air-line food ain't fattening. I don't mind having food like these served to me everyday.

The morning sunrise!! Fantastic colour! and the early dawn of Adelaide.. This ends my business class experience...

PS: I forgot to take photo of the free toiletries they gave me...

This is the Yee Sang that we ordered from Kopitim!!

Looks good! Taste good!...
How to eat it?? Let me intro to you the L-family, who will demonstrate the way to "Lou"....
First you take your chopsticks and draw up the food. The higher the better, when you lift the food up, remember to wish everyone: prosperous life, life, health, family, friends and wealth.

Thai : My work

Places that I went, situation at hand; a different kind of feeling .
This was one of the village that I popped over. The pastor took us to a few villages, where a small number of them has accepted christ. My job was to entertain the children, well maybe a couple of adults as well. Since I don't know how to speak Thai, communication is abit of a problem.

Mummy dearest!! MUAKZ!!!!!
The outside of the hut: Just over that hill is Laos or was it Myanmar =P I forgot.. Yup, the hill top is the boarder; wanna step over and say hi? hahaha... a steep road leading back to where we came from. Bump ride at the back of a ut ain't fun!

Toilet without shades. well, if you gotta go, you gotta go. There is a proper toilet in one of the villages' home (which I borrowed) but I guess, not everyone has their own toilet at home. My guess is that this is a public toilet. I don't know exactly how this water is obtained, through underground? or being pumped up from the river. Either way, at least they have water.

Drivable atm? Fear Factor?

Interesting funny pictures that I think I have to share with you all.

Look UOB atm van.. =) Don't need to rob a bank, just steal a van!!

Dried lizards sold in the morning market of Thad Tai. I wonder how they cook it.. =P

Lastly, the famous fried bamboo worms... yummy.. I've eaten them before. You have to try, taste not bad, just like fries, only crispier. They are kinda $$$ as the season was over. You'll have to go at the end of the year.

Fat Ronald? Thin Ronald?

Mc D in Thai... first thing I tried??PORK burger.. Don't beleive me?? I have a "blur" menu to show you.. Top right is Samurai Pork Burger... hahaha next pic: my burger (any my mum.. hehe)

Lets see, the average Ronald Mc Donald we know has always been thin. I don't think I ever seen him in a muscular/build form. The Ronald standing outside is the Ronald that we know so well. Check out my "Sawa de ka" Ronald inside the fastfood chain... haha it's so CHUBBY!!! the only regret that I have i that I forgot to stand next to him. haha that will show how thin I am.. =P

INTERNATIONAL WELL KNOWN??

hahaha pick a guess what brand are they.. =)

I had to take this photo.. haha how long has it been since I saw coke selling in large dirt glass, with very old logo??
It just seems like the last time I actually held one, carrying and drinking it around was in primary school....

Not to forget FOOD!!!

The usual me would have put this first before any other blog entry... hahaha.. oh well...
Let me just start with a simple yet luxurious first night dinner. What seems to be a normal meal for me; 1 meat dish, a vege dish and maybe a mix of mince meat and vege and soup is a considered luxury for the people there.

But what is the most interesting of all meals that I have of the pastor's wife's cooking is the first breakfast I was there. Take a closer look at the dishes, especialy the fried egg.

So what do you see??? If it's an even closer (but blur)
Let me give you a hint: it's egg fried in egg...
Now what sort of egg?
hahaha It's ants , ant eggs and chicken egg..... Talk about high cholestrol =P but it taste good!!!just like egg =)

Sunday School and the kids

Ah my first Sunday School as a "teacher" hahaah Interesting experience.....
I think I would not go in to details of the entire trip, maybe bits and pieces here and there.. There's the normal, sing songs, play games... and fold balloons!!

Right: My creative balloon design!!! ahahaha does it look like a heart to you??? I wonder myself.. =P
Left: The kids are colouring the cross, in their most creative way.

Left: Group photo Group photo
Right: I was given a coloured cross and a flower made by one of the student.

Ah so far the 2 cutest boy and gal (the one in pink) that I might consider adopting. hahaha but the joke of the day is that the girl is actually the pastor's daughter...

So many things to say, so little time..

I am back from Thailand!!

Where did I go? A small little village in Thad Tai.
What for? Missionary work. There is an Orphanage and Christian Church that my church support.

What was going on in those few days? I guess I'll start with the serious work, then I'll put the "funny" stuff else where then... =)
Ah, trustly AirAsia, for cheap flights... On our way to Chiang Mai...

Here we have a short prayers for the mall night service the day we reached there. A small introduction for the 6 of us were given; and the kids themselves introduced themselves as well.

We each take turns to tell a moral story or share an experience we had with god to them. The person in Green is the pastor who runs the church and take cares of the orphanes. He helped us translate from English to "La Hu" language, while the boy in black and orange translate from chinese to "La Hu" language.

My bed.... small and comfy... Definately straightened my back when i zzz every night =P

Back Home!! Full Fridge, with nothing to eat.....

HOME SWEET HOME MALAYSIA!!!
I just got back a couple of days ago. It's nice to be back once in a while.... get rested, rejuvenated.. etc Some stuff just bring back memories. One of the joke in my house is that the fridge is always full, but nothing to eat!.. Take a look at one of my fridges. Do keep in mind that all fridges in my house are under the same condition.
Lets start from the very begining, a very good place to start!! I'll just type what is visible okie =)
From the 1st level, there is juice juice and more juice, oats milk , soy bean milk, pineapple tart, some rice pop crackers, bread and red bull.
2nd level: Lots of small containers, containing "dunno what: biscuits, odd looking herbs", a McD fries packet, biscuits and cake.
3rd level: ginger beer, milk, packet tea, sprite, wine, yoghurt, bread and biscuit.
4th level: more drinks, instant noodles, more little containers...

Where is your average fridge filled with snacks??? junk food? It's official, I have aliens living in my fridge. Most of the stuff, I have no idea what they are... Maybe for you, you'd think that there's alot of things to eat, for me: I don't fancy bread, tarts and cakes, picky on the type of biscuits I eat. This leaves with with pretty little options =)
