Valentine's day

Valentine's Day is tomorrow!!!! and Pigeon is around to celebrate with me... Yipeeeee.... (Last minute change of plans)

So what are the normal things that you would get on Valentine's???My point of view of course.... The commercial lovie dovie things like:

Roses (single rose or a bunch depending on the guy's budget)

Chocolates, preferably in heart shapes
Romantic dinner for two in some posh nosh place (always an ideal thing, cus the restaurants would have valentine's special, and you don't have to clean up if you're having dinner at home)

And if your a girlfriend like me.... I've no idea what to get... i'm so stuck and it's also a last minute thing, cus I thought I had more time (Pigeon is meant to fly home this holiday). I ended up buying something "useful" and not romantic at all......sigh... Of course there is the being common present like the chocolate option, cooking/baking for him, but I don't want that!!

Okie, I've decided to conclude that that girl is wearing a uniform to the lab..... She wore the same thing again on Monday!!! I'm too gross to think about any other things... so mind set:

"She has a dozen of this and she wears them like a uniform"

eeesh!!! what a way to bluff myself!

In our first 20 years, we eat, sleep, play, enjoy the best and do nothing much. For the next 30 years, we work all day long, suffer and get to support the family. For the next 10 years, we entertain our grandchildren by making monkey faces and monkey tricks. And for the last 10 years, we stay at home, sit by the front door and bark at people!

Remember the guy that I mentioned last year, in my lab?? The one who has strong BO smell. Well, I found another one. A girl this time!!

A new Honours student arrived last Friday to begin her research. I won't mention where she is from (not being racist; from *I..n*) . What has happen to far, is that she has been wearing the same clothes, from top to bottom (literarily), since Monday... and it's now Wednesday.... she hasn't stink yet. hmmmmm under observation ; is she gonna be wearing the same thing this week... talk about saving water, detergent and electricity (if you use washing machine).....

The love that got away!!! =( sob sob

I finally got the pictures from my mobile transfered to the computer. Now I can blog about someone which I can't take my eyes off.

Look at him!!! sigh.... fell in love the moment I saw him; downstairs of Myers store. I have been visiting him every chance that I've got when I go to the city..... Then one day, suddenly, he was gone.... never came back....sigh......

The price had me doubting whether to get him or not..... I guess if it was $500, I just might!!just might get him..... I missed him alot... other puppies do not come close to his level of cuteness... More over he follows me around the glass cage.... how can I not like him??.....

Schutzenfest

What is Schutzenfest????
It's a "shooting festival" which is celebrated by German towns since the medieval times.

So lets start with a "warm and friendly" entrance welcome!!
Hahaha, nothing much to look at; not even balloons..... hmmmmm....

Well, we took a bus here, cus we were gonna drink. (Don't drink and drive). There would be police around the area breath testing all drivers for alcohol content. Getting license suspended ain't fun!! =)

Next critic:
From the infomation website "Adelaide's Bonython Park comes alive with the sounds of Oompah music, dancing from Bavarian and Black Forrest regions of Germany, and also from neighbouring Austria."

Erm... how or what should I say about this comment? Saw the aliveness of the place, heard the music, but didn't see and dances going round.. =)

Next comes the fun part!!! Like the rest of my blogging events: Food comes next!!!!

I had a schnizel burger first, but didn't have enough hands to take photo, on top of that I was too hungry to bother taking any too... =) hahaha ... Yes I pigged out a little that day, to the next menu ----->

This seriously makes me feel like Obelix; especially the second pork hog, crispy roasted pork, yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!! Now I need to find Dogmatix to give the bones to..teeheehee

After the food, where did I head off??? Well it is Schutzenfest!!! so it's of to some shooting!!

Adapted from brochure: "Competitive shooting is one of the main features of Schutzenfest because good marksmanship was essential defence of medival towns."

Well, the picture of me shooting is in D's camera, well, I have the "Aiming point paper" as proof.. hahaha, Guys are known as King and Gals are known as Queen.

Well, as you can see, my aiming is wayyyyyy off... hahhaa Only 1 bullet hit the actual black score sheet. If you notice anything odd or funny: There's one target, which doesn't even have a hole in it, that's because the bullet went off when it was still on the table =P.. hahaha The gun was too heavy and the trigger was just too sensitive. slight touch caused it to fire away!...=P

Ahhhhh... don't you just love competition??? here we have the Schuzenfest: Strong Arm Beer Stein Lifting Competition.

Here we have 10 "strong" men trying to lift a stein of beer (one litre) as long as possible. Then it was the women's turn. Rules: you have to hold the beer at shoulder length for as long as you can. In Adelaide, the men's record so far is 35 minutes and the women's is 25 minutes.

How to finish this wonderful day??? By sculling down a stein of cold German beer!!!!!! Getting a good tan (and I overburn my shoulders =P) Cheers to Schutzenfest!!!!

I'm enjoying my 1 week holiday.. a good break from work, which I think it's abit short... this is the "longest" public holiday for me...sigh.. next time would be in April Easter holiday.....

My first ever concert!! I'm serious!! I've only been to Wu Bai and ChinaBlue and CoCo Lee 's "qian ming hui" poster/cd signing... They did sing a song or two during that session, but that hardly could be considered as a concert.

Warm warm evening.......

Great day for concert! I reached AMMI Stadium about 6pm. The show started off with "Sneaky Sound System" performing on stage. Well, the leading guy singer looked abit like Faramir from Lord of the Rings, he can't sing sing, he could only rap, which doesn't suit his image. The leading gal singer looked like scary spice; big poofy hair, cute cheeky look and a bloody good voice!!! (bad taste in clothes, maybe it is in fashion..hmmm)

There's two huge screens that showed the performance" on the stage. I could still see Robbie from where I stand, the size is about a hairpin's height....=P....

Well, rumour has it that he is gay! but no matter if he is or not, he is a brilliant performer and entertainer.... Well, he did pull off smart remarks here and there. He smoked on the stage (smoke free concert) and teased the audience "Don't you just wanna punch me?"(Can't remember what he said exactly, it's along that line). Hey if you're famous and rich, you wouldn't give a damn anyway.

What do I know about Robbie?! well, I know he prefered Adelaide to Perth (he said so himself) not sure of how Melbourne and Sydney concert went!

The concert finished about 11pm.. and it's traffic jam all the way back to the city (not funny). It's been sooooo long since I was stuck in the jam (in Malaysia)......yawn yawn...

A fantastic 1st ever concert for me!!! This sure set a high bar for the next concert I'm going to!!Watch out Red Hot Chilli Pepper!!! Show me your stuff!!!

Changed??

Well, where should I begin??.... right:
6am, got a sms from my bestfriend (J) in Adelaide... can't remember much what she wrote, I just replied "I know"... then next thing I got was a sms reply that "Life is too good for me and I've changed" hmmm ...
After reading back the sms J 1st sent me, there was a question inside and not a statement =P (but there's no question mark behind that sentence)... Oii...What do you want me to answer at 6am in the morning??!!! I'm not a wake yet!!
Anyway, back to the topic... Have I changed?
Analysing begins:
1. Well, life is different compare to uni and working life.... Time ain't so flexable no more
2. Got a new bf, time spent with friends would have changed abit here and there... well, honeymoon month*s is/are already over.... I have to agree that spending time part with friends have changed (comparative speaking)
3. Anything else? I'm not quite sure...

Complaining begins (for the sake of complaining):
1. "Life is too good for me" !! what kinda statement is that?? you happy for me? or envy of me??
2. Well, I can't be an on call boyfriend standby... in uni I was from 9-5 =P

=P no offence J, moody morning..... feel like Garfield, but on a Friday.... need zzzzz.....

So have I changed? Yes I have.. drastically? Not that I know of...

House warming

Preparation for my housewarming "party" on the 24th November 2006 (Friday).

So what is on the menu??? (*note: potluck style)

I'd realised that I actually didn't do any cooking =P ... Food was cooked by my dearest ...What was I doing??? hhmmmm I was buzying cleaning my living room and hiding my junk (from the living room ) into the spare room's cupboard... Hey, I had to go get ingredients for the food, beer and ice... =P teeheehee

The main dish prepared at my place was crabs!! and mango pudding...

Well, I bought the mangoes from the market.... and gelatin... and sugar....hhmm what else?

As for the crabs..

First, I need to go catch the crabs....

Well, with a net in my hands and chicken carcass with bits of flesh sticking on it as bait, it's off crabbing I go...

Where? Semaphore Jetty...

It's 2:30am, lack of sleep, low on sugar, shaky hands, therefore shaky picture!!!

Well so far 3 crabs were caught and counting!!

Reached home about 4:30am.. yawn....

Had to kill the crabs myself.... Quite quite easy....

1st: poke a chopstick right between the tummy and the tip of the butt flap.

2nd: open the flap, and peel open the whole head shell

3rd: remove the unnecessary organs

4th: chop off the pincers and the crab into twos

Not a bad harvest... Took about 2 and a half hours to catch 13 crabs..... COOL!!!

As you can see, all the crabs caught are blue swimmers...

Soft texture..... pity isn't soft shell..=P

Potluck style: so what do we have???

Long time no update on my life.... Well, for one thing, there is not much to update about. Everything seems to be on smooth flowing waters......

Back to the culprit to got my Pandora pregnant: to refesh memories.
My Rottweiler got pregnant and I've no idea who the father was. Well, as the babies grow up, the suspicion is confirmed....

Is there a trend: people working for the goverment in Australia thinks that suicide solves everything??? After their attempt, they would get any sympathy from the people???

Well, I think they are faking it. If you wanna die; make it right the 1st time. Please don't try to attempt feeble actions, just do it boldly!!

1st candidate: John Brogden (Ex Opposition Leader)
Attempt: self-inflicted stab wounds (What is this?? paper cut?? Do the samurai's version! you'll definately die)
Reason: Pinched one journalist's bottom, propositioned another and referred to Bob Carr's wife as a "mail-order bride"

2nd candidate: Milton Orkopoulos (ex State Liberal MP)
Attempt:suffering the effects of poisoning (consume rat poisoning or something... don't go popping medication pills)
Reason: aggravated indecent assault, engaging in an act of child prostitution, supplying prohibited drugs and using drugs to procure sex

So is this they way they should handle things??!! I'd say they deserve to resign or sacked; don't need people like this working in the goverment. The second candidate is the worst of the 2! If you want to die, take a pen and paper, write down your goodbye messages!! You don't go texting your partner and the priest (then again he might call, but that's what I heard on the radio)... main thing is: Why on earth to you text the priest??!! So he may forgive your sins? Load of bull**** that is...

I'm gonna wait for the next goverment party leader or someone in that sector commits another suicide!!.....

Le Pew !!! Le Pew!!!!

Man!!! What an awful day in the lab!! seriously!! it was bad enough yesterday... but now it's just horrible!!!!This is what happened:-

There is this middle east guy working in a different lab, came to my lab to use some of the equipment (which just so happen to be located next to my work place)... and this guy has an awful strong BO... I tell you!! IT"S AWFUL!!!!! More over he was wearing the same shirt he wore yesterday.... I'm going to observe if he is gonna wear it again tomorrow! phewwww!!! polluting my air....!!!
The worst thing was my work place (for this experiment) is the fume hood, it sucks up all the air from the lab and transfer it outside the building (detox 1st of course). Now you can picture the flow of the smell.....

Even the chemicals that i'm working with smells better!!!! It's not good for health if you sniff it, but i rather take a huge whiff at it, hold my breath, than smelling his BO!!... His wife has recently been employed to work part time in my lab... it really makes me wonder if she herself notice it.... I havn't talked to her yet, so i've no idea if she smells the same as him... But the main question is that doesn't she notice it herself??!! or she is immune to it... or worst: she loves the smell (eeewwwwww)..... yuck yuck!!!

after working there for 2 hours... i think my lab coat begins to smell of him.... eeewwwww... gonna change lab coat.... need to sent this one for washing!!!....
If he is gonna wear the same clothes tomorrow, I'm gonna tell him straight in his face that he stinks, should shower and change clothes!!!! politely of course... I still need to survive in this lab....

I have my suspicion on the father of the puppies...... hmmmm It's still innocent, until proven guilty!!! Yes the answer will be out be out soon when the puppies grow abit older.....

Let my formally introduce you to my beloved Pandora.... in my eyes, she still is a little baby.. and my baby has given birth to 9 brown puppies.....
You have to agree that this is a cute cute Rottweiler!!! Can't see any killer eyes and scary fangs in any inch of her (That is because she's a softie).... How can anyone not love her??? Can't imagine why my frens are afraid of them (Rotts I mean)
As for her little puppies... They are brown in colour!! Brown!!!!!??? I thought black would be the dominate colour, but apparently not!! Now who is that irresponsible BROWN father??!! @#$%#@$^
I can't wait to go back home and give P mummy and this pile of babies a big hug!!!... man, in 2 months time, they will turn into noisy little devils that will chew anything and everything in sight!!! Good luck to my sis and mum in taking care of them... Can they sent one pup here?!!! I want one!!! I miss having a dog here... sigh.......

NEW NEW NEW

After a nice quiet dinner with my ex coursemates; one of them said something that made me realise that "Hey, that's true"......

This should be consider a new chapter in my life...Begining with the moment I hit 25 years of age....
I've got a:

1. "New" job (New contract). Same job as I had begining of the year, but I was working as casual (part timer)... now I'm working full time and higher pay (I think), with benefits of course.

2. New place. Found a nice cozy place at the egde of the city.... fully furnish, and hot at one end and cool down the other... this is good cus I can choose to move about when the weather gets too chilling or too warm at one side of the house....

3. New Man in my life. Treats me nice, considered mature... and we have some similarities passing by in our daily lives.

so what else is new???

Well, my lovable dog (Pandora) gave birth to 9 puppies..... So if anyone in Malaysia want some rojak dogs, leave a message and your details.... you'll receive them soon! =)

Sensitivity of smell

Was talking to a friend and this topic came across:
Gals sense of smell VS Boys sense on smell

Hahaha that sound 76% true to me.... and I wonder why?

I have to admit that I am sensitive to BO... pew, they need deoderant... It's understandable that people who play sports tend to sweat and stink but after a nice shower, they'll be as right as rain. I can't stand people who call their BO as manish smell (yuck!)... some people (base on race, which I'm not gonna mention, you know who you are) just tend to stink.. is it their culture not to shower? or not to care that they stink? or they just smell that way no matter how clean they are?

Hmmm for me, guys (ahem buff guys) with perfume like Eternity Men, Polo Sports, Blue Jeans, Hugo Boss (latest one) just smells yummy.... I'm sure it goes the same to guys smelling at gals' perfume, especially pretty gals... that where Impulse body spray portrays... the gal puts it on everywhere, and the guys just follow and sniffing from behind. Well I know a couple of guys who takes huge whiffs of the gal walking passing them.

What do you think? agree? disagree?... hahaha winks~*
